LEHUA PARKER writes speculative fiction for kids and adults that is often set in her native Hawai‘i. Her award-winning published works include the Niuhi Shark Saga trilogy, Lauele Fractured Folktales, Lauele Chicken Skin Stories, and many plays, poems, short stories, and essays.

A graduate of The Kamehameha Schools and trained in literary criticism, she is an advocate of indigenous voices in media and a published literary and theater critic. In addition to freelance developmental editing, she’s the Literary Coordinator for Pasifika Enriching Arts of Utah (PEAU Lit).

When she can be pried out of her office, she presents at conferences, schools, and symposiums, and mentors through the Lehua Writing Academy.
